Pure wool fibres naturally regulate body temperature as air passes through the wool fibres, keeping you warm and insulated in winter while allowing for breathable and cool comfort in summer months. Wool mattress pads are increasingly popular as a natural & sustainable preference over down, silk, or new textile linens, as wool is breathable, hypo-allergenic, insulating, and absorbs one-third of it's own weight in moisture before feeling damp. This helps to keep your body dry, comfortable, and healthy throughout the night.
Our wool mattress pads are machine washable and made with a fully fitted skirt to prevent any shifting throughout the night. You can choose to sleep directly on the merino wool fleece or lay your fitted sheet over the wool pile.
General Care: Once removed from packaging let the mattress topper air out overnight before placing on your bed. Sheepskin mattress pads are machine washable and dry cleanable, although spot cleaning is recommended. Regular brushing will maintain the fluffy appearance of the wool and help to support pressure distribution. Avoid direct sunlight and high heat sources, such as blow dryers and radiators.
Machine washing instructions: use the most delicate cycle setting with cool/warm water and a soft liquid detergent. We suggest Eucalan™ woolwash cleaner. Tumble dry with air only (no heat) and brush when dry to evenly lift the wool fibres. For more information and details please refer to our Sheepskin Care guidelines.
